Who we are
This website, rallypoint-group.com, is run by Rally Point Group ("we", "us"). We are responsible for any personal information collected through it. You can contact us about anything in this policy at hello@rallypoint-group.co.uk.
RallyPoint is launching soon. We don't yet run events, take bookings, offer accounts or collect sign-ups through this website. If that changes, we'll update this policy first.
What we collect and why
Website analytics (only if you choose Accept)
If you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, how people found us, roughly where they are (country or city), and what type of device and browser they use. This is reported to us in total, and doesn't tell us who you are.
Lawful basis: your consent. If you choose Decline, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager are not loaded at all. You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
How long we keep it: analytics data is kept in Google Analytics for no longer than 14 months.
If you email us
If you email hello@rallypoint-group.co.uk, we use your name, email address and message only to reply to you. We don't add you to a mailing list.
Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in replying to messages people send us. How long we keep it: only as long as we need to deal with your message. We review and delete old emails at least once a year.
Running the website securely
Like every website, our hosting provider receives technical information such as your IP address and browser type when you visit, so it can show you the pages and protect the site from attacks. We don't use this to identify you.
Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website.
Cookies and similar technologies
When you first visit, we ask whether you're happy for us to use analytics cookies. Nothing non-essential is set until you choose.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| rp-cookie-consent | Remembers whether you accepted or declined, so we don't ask on every page. Stored in your browser, not sent to us. Essential. | Until you clear your browser data |
| _ga | Google Analytics: tells one visitor apart from another. Only set if you accept. | Up to 2 years |
| _ga_WB0THFHWWP | Google Analytics: keeps track of your current visit. Only set if you accept. | Up to 2 years |
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may also set a short-lived security cookie (such as __cf_bm) to tell people apart from automated bots. This is essential to keep the site safe and doesn't track you across other websites.
To remove cookies already set, clear this site's data in your browser settings.
Who we share information with
We never sell your information. We only use a small number of trusted services to run the site, who handle information on our behalf:
- Google (Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager), only if you accept cookies. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Cloudflare, which hosts the website and protects it from attacks.
- GoDaddy, which provides our email.
Some of these providers may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. When they do, it is protected by safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK-US data bridge or approved contract terms.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that is wrong
- ask us to delete your information
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it
- withdraw your consent to analytics cookies at any time
To use any of these rights, email hello@rallypoint-group.co.uk. We'll reply within one month.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if anything changes, for example when RallyPoint launches and we start organising events.
